Chelmers is an ambitious transformation of a mid-century residence, reimagining the existing home through a comprehensive renovation and the addition of a new floor. Drawing inspiration from the glamour and architectural optimism of 1960s Hollywood, the design celebrates bold geometric forms, expressive materiality and seamless connections between interior and exterior spaces. Through a considered balance of original character and contemporary intervention, the project seeks to create a distinctive family home that captures the elegance of Californian modernism while introducing a refined approach to modern living.
